Who is stronger in table tennis, attackers or defenders? To answer this question we compared arithmetical mean of rating points of both groups. As you can see, defenders have an advantage over attackers if we select first 300 players ranked by ITTF. But if we select only top 100 players, we have contrary results for men. Any top defender is generally weaker than any top attacker. Talking about women, we must admit that advantage of defenders is more noticeable here than among male athletes.
